MY STORY

In 2012 I committed my life to Jesus and everything changed. In 2014 and 2016 I had divine personal encounters with God confirming His calling on my life. In 2020 I applied, enrolled and graduated seminary at International College of Ministry (ICM) with Ma Th, 12 July 2020 and was Ordained and Licensed as a Minister. I went on to complete the following as well: Life Coach Certification (ICM), 17 Nov 2021, PhD Cc (ICM), 17 Jan 2022, D Pm (ICM) 7 Dec 2022, Publish my 1st Book (The Son of Man) and my 2nd Book (Biblical Counseling) 31 March 2026. In 2025 the Lord called me to build the Sandals of Peace Biblical Counseling & Life Coach LLC to serve Veterans & their family members battling with PTSD and trauma.

My life seemed to begin with my mom and dad divorcing when I was around six-year-old. Dad had my three siblings and I every other weekend. However, he watched ball games all weekend leaving our stepmom to entertain us. About a year or so later mom got remarried and I began receiving a daily batter of emotional, and mental abuse from our stepdad. Constantly being told I would never amount to anything, as it seemed I could never do anything right. Beginning in third grade, I came home from school, every day to work in family garage. Starting with shop clean up, getting tools needed for mechanic work, welder’s helper and tow truck operator as I got older. After barely graduating High School, I left home, setting out on my own.

In a few weeks I found myself homeless, and out of money about three hundred miles from home. I interviewed at the local Ford Dealership for a mechanics position I heard about, and I got the job. For once I didn’t feel as if I was robbed of my childhood, as all my hard work finally paid off.  Shortly after getting my job and a car I met a beautiful lady, married and had two Sons. However, still being kids ourselves and not knowing the love of Jesus we fragged out the marriage, ending in divorce. Missing my family, determined my sons were not growing up without me and knowing I needed to make changes in my life, I enlisted in the Army in 1982.  After basic, I remarried my sons' mom.

I served 20 years active duty with my family for nine years. After which we decided the boys needed to settle into a good school system and community state side. I served the remaining years alone, ending in divorce after the boys graduated High School. Still not knowing Jesus and real love, I married the wrong woman again ending in divorce in less than a year. I married yet again in 2000 hoping for real love. After retiring from active duty, 2002 I transitioned into U.S. Army Civil Service for additional 22 years. After 24 year of a controlling, manipulating, gaslighting and unfaithful marriage I was divorced once again now at the age of 65.

Now alone I have found great peace in my relationship with the Lord and love life more than ever. Life is full of endless challenges all providing opportunities of advancement and growth. God is so faithful. Within His Grace, which is unconditional love, I have found joy beyond measure and peace beyond all understanding. To God be all the glory!!!

Dr. Nick Craig Westenhofer

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom. 15:13 NKJV
